This Project is currently in progress.

 

This community school project aimed to redevelop the existing outdoor play space as an area for play therapy for students. All students have behavioural issues and special needs such as ADHD, autism spectrum and sensory processing and are unwilling or unable to access mainstream schooling.

 

designwell responded to the brief by providing opportunities for students to “escape” if they are unsettled in class and create a sense of comfort by providing various motor sensory play options for students to retreat and calm down. Spaces include opportunities to get up high, seclude, expel energy and engage in healthy distraction.
